  1. Getting Started

Plan your network

Highly recommend performing this step before configuring NVIS AI and while your order is being reviewed.

Firewall Rules

If you have an external firewall going to the Internet, rules need to be created for the following ports to be open:

  1. TCP Port 3000

  2. UDP Port 5000

  3. UDP Port 5645

Understanding Team and Network

The Admin Portal organizes network resources as Team or Network. From the perspective of NVIS AI, there really is no difference, except that Team assets are generally users with email addresses associated with their identity. Network assets are computers, servers, or hosts.

Understanding Groups

The Admin Portal organizes security contexts (or privileged access) by Groups. Place Team and Network assets into Groups, and assign them a Group Name. This Group Name will have its own Group PSK, or Pre-Shared Key, which, together with the Group Name, will create a unique group identifier internally.

Note: Group Name and Group PSK in the Admin Portal are case-sensitive
